Restrictive eating, yo yo dieting, eliminating entire food groups for a variety of reasons can take all of the joy out of eating. Food is often central to our celebrations and time together with friends and family. There are ways to create beautiful, healthful food to keep us functioning at peak performance even when not in "diet or weight loss" mode.

Every time you try a new diet program, you get seduced by the progress at first. Each time you hope "this is the one"!
Well, the body is smart, and it begins to adapt and survive, and the weight loss slows or stops. Once again, we can feel like a failure, we are dissatisfied with our body and we become preoccupied with food - often ending up binge eating or with some type of eating disorder long term.
With each diet comes a set of rules - low carb, high protein and fats, fasting, very low calorie, points, measures, pre-packaged meals, etc. We begin chasing the dream plan to lose weight and so often are disgusted and even heartbroken.
