Wondering About or Using GLP-1's?
Learn how to make those new habits last and become your NEW LIFESTYLE, not just a quick fix.
GLP’s - Are they for you?
GLP-1 medications are a class of medicines called glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists. They act like a natural hormone in the body that helps control blood sugar and appetite—two key factors in managing diabetes and supporting weight loss.
These medications address several issues. GLP-1 is naturally released in the gut after eating to let you know if you are full. It also promotes insulin secretion to keep blood sugar in check.
They keep evolving and have soared in popularity for those able to use them. Instead of reiterating a bunch of facts, here is an excellent article summarizing all you need to know about the technical part of taking these medications.
Additionally, if you are reading this, you likely are interested in more information and there are many web sites to search for info. Here is one to direct you a bit quicker, This is goodrx and lists the various brands and types available.
I wanted to share the “human side” of what I know and think you might find helpful. It is important to know that this is not a forever-fix if you don't adapt and change your your lifestyle and habits to be successful long term.
